Farver|Harrison does a really great job of laying out the problems many indigenous languages in the world face, which those outside the field of linguistics may not be aware of. His overview of language learning is good as well, and I appreciate how he explains complex language ideas to the reader in a way that is simple, yet not "dumbed down."
